Forests to me are magic. There is something completely enchanting about the sculpture of tangled branches, layered with green leaves and dappled with bursts of light.
Almost a year ago I was daydreaming about new photography projects and came up with an idea; a beautiful pixie like bride with a crown of flowers in her hair, exploring a whimsical forest. As the months went by this vision stayed with me... this photo shoot had to happen somehow.
One evening at a meeting with fabulous event planners Shadia and Francesca from Lily and Roses Exquisite events, I mentioned the idea that could not escape my head, and they fell in love with the whole concept, so much so that they wanted to help make it happen! Soon after we added a lady that brings sunshine into any room, Melissa Viinalass from Elus Image Make up. She has incredible talent and was a perfect addition to the creative team.
Production day arrived so quickly after about a million emails and planning hours that went into this shoot. Shadia and Francesca had handmade 3 different flower crowns with 3 matching bouquets, which were exquisitely done. They also had picked out many different dresses so we could change the dresses with the bouquet/crown combinations.
Francesca had agreed to model after our original models all couldn't make it for one reason or another, which turned out so beautifully as she made a stunning bride! My wonderful mother had agreed to be an assistant as well as my awesome and strong neighbor Sasha, who moved all the heavy antique furniture and even made us the swing in 30 minutes!
