After a three year, beautiful journey living in Thailand I am moving home!  Where is home you may ask, as I have also asked myself this question many times.  To be completely honest I have moved so many times in the last 20 years there really isn't a solid answer to that question.  But I do know this for sure... Home Is Where The Heart Is.  For the first time in a very long time my heart is now in Ottawa!  I am so thrilled to return to my original home land.  Where I spent my childhood years and where my family is living.  I can't wait for Sunday Night Family dinners!  My Mom is the most amazing cook.

A new move also means a complete redesign of my photography business.  A good entrepreneur always focuses on the strong suits of his/her knowledge base and for me that is Wedding Photography.  So now I have decided to start a new website/business plan specializing in Weddings.  With that comes a change in my business name from Lisa Dawn Photography to Arthur and Marjorie Wedding Photography.  The name choice comes from my grandparents and their incredible 53 year marriage, based in Ottawa.

This new step is very exciting for me and my ideas have been endless with trying to put a new spin on the old business of wedding photography.

One of my new ideas include using props for the wedding portraits.  Basically it would be staging the portrait session with various unusual design elements to add a unique and beautiful style.  Examples would be using rugs, antiques, chandeliers, mirrors and other awesome style elements to make your wedding photos even more amazing.

I would love to hear your comments on this new idea.  I don't have any photos of this yet, but of course I am confident it's going to look amazing once I get that first booking in Ottawa!
